HOW MUCH CRAB WILL I NEED?
If it's a family gathering, and steamed crabs will be served along with other food, about six-eight crabs per person. If you will be eating crabs solely as your main course, then you can plan for approximately ten to a dozen crabs per person. Generally, a bushel of large sized crabs can feed about eight people. * Please keep in mind that these numbers are "approximate" and are intended to help you determine a ballpark number of crabs to order.
CAN I CHANGE MY ORDER?
If you are to receive a shipment from the crab share program your share purchase can be changed. If you have placed an online retail order and if our support team is contacted within the hour of your order it can be changed.
WILL YOU DELIVER OR CAN I PICK IT UP?
Yes, If your in our local area you can pick up your order if it has been arranged in advance.
DO I NEED REFRIGERATED STORAGE?
Yes, Steamed crabs must be kept in the refrigerator for 5-7 days. Make sure to keep them in an air -tight plastic bag. they should be refrigerated as soon as possible after your crab feast. The longer they remain at room temperature, the more bacterial growth will occur.
WHAT ABOUT LEFT-OVER CRABS?

You can keep cooked crabs still in their shells and eat them up to 5 to 7 days later. As long as the stay in the cold under refrigeration.

The most important thing to remember about freezing and storing crab meat is that it is very perishable. Since the meat spoils quickly it should be used immediately after it is cooked. Do not let crab meat stand at room temperature longer than necessary. You can pick-out the meat and properly place it in a freezer storage container, it will keep up to three months in the freezer.
