Maryland Blue Crabs

Re-heating your steamed crabs, add enough water to cover the bottom by half an inch. Bring the liquid to a full boil. Add the already steamed crabs layered in the steamer pot, reduce steam time to 5 minutes and test by cracking a claw. If the meat is hot, the crabs are done. If the meat is not hot, allow the crabs to steam for an additional 3 minutes. You can also reheat steamed crabs in the microwave. Place crabs in a large bowl and add half an inch of water to cover the bottom of the bowl - this keeps the crabs moist. Cook on high for 1 to 2 minutes.
