At Crab Pot Depot we endeavor to adhere to principles of accountability and transparency regarding our relationship with food, with harvesters and with consumers. It’s all too apparent many seafood systems are broken, unsustainable and beset with fraud, deceit, and greed. As a company, we are disturbed by the countless incidents of ethical failures that endanger the blue crab industry whether harvesting or marketing. Just recently, a study suggests that somewhere between 20 and 60 percent of U.S. fish is mislabeled and sold to an unsuspecting public.
